GCP: My Exit
Due to time constraints, I’ve decided to forfeit my role as editor with Grit City Publications. This is a personal decision on my behalf and should not reflect poorly on GCP. I have enjoyed working as editor and will continue to support the company and the emotobook community.

Sorry to hear that, but I understand the time constraint thing.
Thank you, Andrew. It’s for the best, I think. This way the talented and dedicated writers at GCP can be matched with editors that can give them the time and attention they deserve.
Wow, this is a surprise (at least to me). They’re losing a good editor. It did seem to be a pretty demanding job, though.
So, do you have some other projects/jobs/goals lined up right away, or are you going to take a little break first?
Thanks, Anthony. I appreciate the compliment.
The job definitely was demanding and time-consuming, neither of which I think are truly things to warrant complaints, but the fact remains that the creative community at GCP deserves more than I can give right now.
Mostly this is a personality thing. I’m not happy unless I can give something my all. If I can’t throw 100% of myself at a project, I feel like I’m being neglectful. When it comes to collaborative efforts, this is inexcusable. Perhaps somewhere down the road I can revisit potential involvement in content editing and acquisitions, but for now I’m happy to continue to support GCP while tackling a less active role.
No other projects, unless you count the ceaseless project of parenthood. I’m happy to dedicate all of my time to my little guy. Initially, I thought that as he’d get older, he’d become less dependent, but there’s so much more to it than I could anticipate. It’s quite an adventure, and one I’m thrilled to be part of.
